Who We Are
Ubuntu Healing Initiative is a registered, non-profit, non-religious, and non-political Community-Based Organization (CBO) based in Nairobi, Kenya. Registered under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, we were established to address the growing community burdens of mental health challenges, substance abuse, and limited access to professional psychosocial care. We provide inclusive, safe, and trauma-informed support to all humanity—with a dedicated focus on vulnerable children, women, and refugees.
Our Philosophy
Our foundation is built entirely on the profound African philosophy of Ubuntu: "I am because we are." We believe that psychological and emotional healing cannot happen in isolation. True, sustainable wellness is deeply rooted in our collective care, shared empathy, and mutual responsibility for one another.
Our Vision
To build resilient and inclusive communities where every vulnerable individual is supported, healed, and empowered through mental health initiatives—enabling every person to achieve their full potential.
